Dear Paul,
It feels like a miracle to read a note from you. I have read every post since the accident and followed your recovery closely. You and I were supposed to have coffee on the 17th of June and I am still holding you to it! I am so grateful you are home with your beloved family and wish you all the best in 2009.

Happy New Year Paul!

It was very sweet to see your own words. Not sweet as in "AWWWWW how sweet"...but more like "sweet victory" for those of us who have been keeping up with your progress! What a blessing that you are home and with your loving family.

I am thinking of you guys and praying for you. Much love, and wishing you much progress in 2009!

PAUL,

Happy 2009 my friend! I want to see and talk to you soon! Every time I come around, you're sleeping! Is that some sort of bus trick you like to pull on me? Have some coffee before I visit you for once. Give me a wink. It'll make me feel important.

Patty and Paul,

You don't know me, but I feel compelled to write. I have known of Paul's accident for quite some time and have been following his progress via your blog. The need to write and offer support stems from personal experience with a similar situation. You see, my best friend suffered a brain injury many years ago and Paul's story has touched me in a way I cannot explain. Anyway, my prayers and thoughts have been and continue to be with you both. I know 2009 will bring amazing things to your life. Good luck and know that Paul's story and journey has touched many lives - even those of perfect strangers!

God bless you and your family.
